10 basics:

  1. a stripped top
  2. a few pairs of jeans: white, blue and gray
  3. a lightweight sweater
  4. a pastel piece
  5. a leather jacket
  6. a neutral bag
  7. a classic white Tee
  8. a pair of sandals
  9.  a colorful pair of heels
  10. and of course white sneakers

These are the 10 staples in my Spring and Summer wardrobe. Some of them are 2 in 1 like my colorful sandals of my lovely pastel sweater. All these pieces go together and can make for cute outfits. I saw a quote a few weeks ago from Rachel Zoe:
“It’s better to have fewer things of quality than too much expendable junk.”
Since I was the queen of expendable junk for a long time, I decided that this Spring I was going to do a Big Spring clean! So I did and I feel much better. I’m no were near a minimalist, but at least I through out a lot of junk. I kept my quality pieces and added a few things I needed like a new pair of jeans and a white Tee. Now I feel great and can’t wait for the weather to warm up so I can start wearing everything.

These pieces are real basics for me. If I don’t know what to wear I’ll just wear a stripped top with my navy leather jacket or if it’s a bit colder my pastel sweater. Just add a pair of jeans and white sneakers and your outfit is done. I think a nude bag is great because it literally goes with any outfit. Overall I would recommend everyone to have these pieces in there wardrobe for Spring and Summer. Keep an eye out during Fall for my Fall and Winter basics.
