Check print, tartan or plaid, call it what you want, but it’s the biggest thing for autumn! These prints are of course classic staples every autumn and winter, but this year they are bigger than ever. I absolutely love these prints and I’m super excited to see this trend everywhere! I’ve defenitly already bought a lot of check print items and you’ll be seeing them in posts soon!
As for this dress, I think it’s my favorite dress ever! It’s classy, but very fashionable and ‘trendy’. It also gives me some major Burberry vibes and who doesn’t love that!
The white boots may not be your thing, I get that. I’m obsessed with them though… I’ve been looking for white booties like these since last year and I finally found. they were the last pair left, on sale in an H&M in Valencia. I guess having big feet comes in handy in Spain! White accessories have been a trend for a while and I you look around in any store, you’ll at least see one pair of white boots. I have a few favorite pairs.
These if you want to splurge or these and these if you’re clumsy and you’ll mess up white shoes in a month (me).

Millennial Pink

I love me some pink, but millennial pink is my favorite shade. Some might say the colour has been overdone, because in the last couple of years it’s been everywhere.
I have to admit my room is decorated in millennial pink and grey, so I might be a little obsessed.  I own a few items in the colour, but this skirt has to be my favorite.
The print and colour are amazing and so is the price! I bought it at Forever 21 and you can find it here.
These amazing sneakers are inspired by Alexander McQueen. They are just as cute, but definitely not as pricey. If you want to spend some extra you can pick up these. If you are messy like me and can’t keep a sneaker white for over a week try these.

Casual Sassiness

First things first, Happy New Year! I hope you have a wonderful year and that you’ll realize all your dreams and wishes.
One of my resolutions for 2018 is posting more on my blog. I know I say this all the time, but I’ve now put a target for myself. At least post twice a month on here. I love writing and taking pictures as a way of expressing myself and inspiring. If you want to see more of me, you can follow me on Instagram. I’ve been posting a lot on there and really like it so take a look at odemode_.
Now, on to my outfit. Today was one of the first nice and sunny days in what feels like months, but realistically the first day with some sunshine in weeks. I got a bit overexcited and wore jeggings with sneakers. A warm pair or boots wouldn’t have been so bad either, because it was still sooooo cold! But, every time I wear this sweater I’m a happy kiddo. The sassiness of the sleeves, I’m in love! I must admit, I have a little sassy sleeve obsession… I know there also very ‘trendy’ right now, so I haven’t invested in a really expensive item. This one is from Forever 21 , but H&M also have some cute ones like this one or this one, which i also have.
It’s been a while since I’ve brought this bag anywhere, but now I know why i loved it so much. This Fendi 2jours bag is so practical. Not too big, not too small and a great neutral color. The exact color isn’t available anymore, but these are also beautiful neutrals.

No matter the season, animal prints are always in some form on trend. Snake- , zebra- ,  tiger- or leopard print, we’ve all seen them or worn those prints.
The statement leopard coat has kind of evolved for trend piece to a ‘classic’. If you buy a quality leopard coat you can wear it for years without looking outdated. I have to admit, this year is definitely the year of leopard though. The print is evolving from statement coat to skirts, to pants, to scarfs and many more items. Think of an item and it’s available in leopard print. Here are a few examples of pieces that I absolutely love.
These shorts, this scarf, these pants, this dress  and these boots are all just too cute!
I must admit, I’ve also stocked up on this print quite a lot. If you really like the look of this trend, but aren’t sure if it’s for you, I would recommend starting of with an easy, affordable piece like a scarf. I just jumped in the deep end and bought this coat last year as my first piece and I don’t regret it!
I still love and wear mine a lot so I you ask me, it’s a winner!
I did go for a mix of leopard and tiger with this outfit, by wearing my coat with this beautiful green Kenzo sweater. It’s in my favorite color and i’m so happy that I found this cute green skirt to match and to complete my look!

Red Pants

Who am I? I never used to wear red, but now it seems like I can’t leave the house without wearing something red. These pants may be my favorite though.
I feel like every women should own a pair of red power pants!
As I said a few posts ago, red is actually a great staple and can be worn with a lot of colors. With this outfit I did go a bit basic, but still classy. I mean, what is more classic than a white and blue stripped shirt. Paired with these red pants,
this outfit isn’t boring at all though!
I went sightseeing and shopping in this outfit and it was perfect for that. I’ve worn these blue Valentino rockstud sneakers soooo much over the past few years and they’re still super comfy! They are starting to look a bit worn, but nothing that a good polish can’t fix.

Statement Sleeves

Yesterday I had quite the amazing day with my boyfriend. We started of shopping in Amsterdam, passed through The Hague and returned back to Rotterdam for diner.
There were only a few drops of rain, which is quite exceptional for this time of the year. The sweater isn’t just (in my opinion) extremely cute, it also kept me warm all day and it combines two really big trends.
Statement sleeves are one of the biggest trends this spring and summer. Shirts with dramatically long sleeves (like here), large ruffles (here) or even bows (here) on the sleeves of blouses or sweaters with big sleeves (like this one or mine). Also, the embroidery trend that is still going strong, very strong. everything is being embroidered. As you can tell, I’m down with these trends!
I wore this sweater with a pair of bootcut jeans, which have become a classic in my opinion. Wearing my white Nikes with them, so I was comfortable walking all day.

Grey & Blue with a Pop of Color

Yesterday was the most amazing spring day! The sun was out and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky, but today it’s back to reality. The clouds have returned and
it’s a bit chilly outside. So, back to a warm scarf, a cute sweater and
a colorful pair of boots. Adding a denim skirt is always a good option, since you can wear them throughout the year. Great in summer or winter, depending on what you wear it with. They aren’t going out of style either. After there comeback a few years ago, they are here to stay. I’m wearing a plain buttoned one, but even embroidered denim skirts or patched ones are everywhere. The one I’m wearing looks really cute with my blue Givenchy bag so that’s another plus!

Fun Pants

I wasn’t feeling great yesterday, so I had to wear these pants.
Don’t they just make you happy when you look at them? Plus adding a little glitter and stars doesn’t hurt ever. The star earrings were a present from a lovely girlfriend and I’m obsessed with them! I mean… I’ll love anything with stars, but these are extra cute!
This outfit is pretty much my go to on grey days like this, if I’m not wearing all black of course, but I’m switching out this leather jacket for my big black winter coat! It’s freezing at the moment and the rain doesn’t help either. I’m not complaining thought!
Come on… how could I, I have a donut on my pants!

White Jeans in Fall

My favorite thing about the fall season must be the occasional sunny days.
When the sunshine keeps you warm, but the air is still fresh and slightly cold.
On days like these I leave my winter coat at home and push away all the black clothes in my closet for a nice light look.
I think white is very chic for the fall and winter seasons  and it brightens your outfit.
Winter whites is a returning trend on the runway and in stores each year and I think it’s fair to say it has become a staple and a timeless look.
Especially paired with navy blue, I think it’s very fall-appropriate. I added a nice chunky sweater to complete the look. I like this one because it makes me think of a Christmas sweater without being so over the top. Just a subtle hint is enough.

Stars

We all have those days, when we feel uninspired and don’t know what to wear. I like to stick to the basics, but I don’t like looking too plain Jane. So I like adding a little touch of something. In this occasion a cute hat with stars!
I’m really into stars at the moment and perfect timing because they are very trendy this season. Everything star-printed is welcome in my closet. Don’t get me wrong… I still love stripes, but stars are very cute for the holiday season.
You may not be able to see this, but my boots actually have glitters in them! I know,… amazing right! I’ve been wearing them nonstop and i don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.
