Little Dress

Sometimes I’m just not in the mood for pants and a cute skirt or,
like in this case in this case, a little dress is the perfect solution.
I really like this dress and it was actually a gift from my sister. She didn’t really wear it and I could use a pretty dress. Actually  I’m still looking for a few new ones.
The holidays are slowly coming and I would like a new festive dress (or two). Maybe I’ll find one during the Black Friday sale, this friday the 25th. I’d definitely suggest checking a few sites. You might just find your perfect Christmas dress!

Of course I’m wearing black with this dress, but I mean… What did you expect?
This black turtleneck is my favorite item  in my closet at the moment.
It also doesn’t hurt that it was only ten euros from H&M! I’m thinking about getting another one, since I’ve been wearing this one non-stop.

Black//Animal

Yesterday I had a great day in Amsterdam with my dad. We had a fun day,
but before the fun started I really didn’t know what to wear. I hate that feeling!
You are standing in front of your closet full of clothing and it feels like you have nothing to wear. I don’t want to look boring or plane, but I want to be comfortable
if I’m going to be walking around a city all day.
So, this is what I came up with.
A black roll neck is always a good option and this one is new and I really like it.
I think I inherited my love of black roll necks from my mom,
because that’s here favorite piece to wear. I have to admit, they are a great basic, timeless and classic piece that you can wear with everything. As I’m writing this post, I’m actually wearing one. I own about four black ones and then a few different neutral colors.
If you don’t own roll or turtle necks yet, which seems highly unlikely, go pick up a few and you’ll wear them throughout fall and winter.

Dots & Buns

So… Yes I’m older than the age of 5 and wearing buns on my head,
but I’m totally into it! It might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I’d recommend it to any girl. Just try it and maybe you’ll like it. I definitely did! I like trying new things with my hair anyway. When I’m bored I tend to experiment. Some of the hairstyles should definitely never me seen, but now and again I like something new!
Also, it’s a great solution if you have that half-greasy, I should have washed my hair kind of day. (I have those way too often.)

Stars

We all have those days, when we feel uninspired and don’t know what to wear. I like to stick to the basics, but I don’t like looking too plain Jane. So I like adding a little touch of something. In this occasion a cute hat with stars!
I’m really into stars at the moment and perfect timing because they are very trendy this season. Everything star-printed is welcome in my closet. Don’t get me wrong… I still love stripes, but stars are very cute for the holiday season.
You may not be able to see this, but my boots actually have glitters in them! I know,… amazing right! I’ve been wearing them nonstop and i don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.

Sukajan

Bombers have been all the rage and they aren’t going anywhere, but we’ve been
calling some of them wrong. These jackets have an entire heritage behind them that we (or at least I) didn’t know about.

The roots of the Souvenir Jacket, or Sukajan in Japanese, go back to American soldiers who were stationed in Japan at the end of the second World War. After the war
the American soldiers, stationed in Japan, began getting traditional Japanese designs hand-stitched onto the backs of their jackets to commemorate their time in Japan.
The designs included Japanese style dragons, tigers, cherry blossoms and trees, even Geisha girls were featured on the soldiers backs. Since then,
they’ve started to take on a life of their own.
What a beautiful history! I already just like the look of this jacket, but after a friend told me about the Sukajan, I started reading a bit about them and know I like mine even more!

Black & Blue

We’ve all hear that wearing black and blue together is a ‘no-go’. It’s kind of not done
to pair those to colors and I never used to do it,
but now I actually really like wearing them together. I think it looks chic and it so easy to pair. I don’t usually wear any others colors with the black and blue,
because then it can quickly turn from ‘a cute look’ to ‘too much’.
Also, I’m completely obsessed with this star blouse. My sister and I both bought this blouse at Zara about two weeks ago and we’ve both really like it.
Thankfully we live in different cities, otherwise it would be a bit awkward wearing the same blouse wherever we go…

Flowers for Fall

A while back I realized I didn’t really have any cute dresses. I had a few summer one’s, but not more transitional Fall or even Winter dresses. I ordered this one online about two weeks ago and I wasn’t sure if I should keep it, but I’m soooo happy I did. That’s one of the good things about having girlfriends who are also shopaholics.
Just kidding, but not really… My bank account doesn’t like my friends or me.
Also I’m justifying keeping this dress because it looks great with my Fendi bag and I don’t wear that beauty enough and I really should! I love everything about the bag, but since I got my Givenchy Antigona I’ve kind of forgotten this baby.

Grey Ruffles

We all just have those days, when you don’t want to wear tight pants or a cute top. No, you just want to be really comfortable. Well… I found the perfect dress for those days!
This thing is very comfy and yet quiet trendy! The ruffles and the unfinished hems give the dress a bit of an edgy and trendy site. Also it has pockets and that is basically all I want. If a piece of clothing doesn’t have pockets, I’ll probably wont buy it.
This dress will definitely be a go to piece when I don’t know what to wear!

A Touch of Pink

SAM_6413.JPGSAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURESSAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURESSAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURESSAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURESSAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURESSAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURESSAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURESSAM_6440.JPG

I own a few jumpsuits and I like most of them, but this is the only one I really love. Sometimes you aren’t sure about a clothing item and you don’t know if you should buy it, but them it turns out to be a great find! This is the case with this jumpsuit. I went shopping with my sister a few months ago and saw this jumpsuit. At first I wasn’t sure, but I quickly fell in love! I feel like this is another one of those pieces that is great for Spring, Summer and Fall. I added a touch of pink with this top to transition into the cooler weather.
I’ve decided to try to wear less black this AW and more navy blue. Don’t get me wrong… I’ll probably still wear black 90 percent of the time, just a little more navy blue. I think this outfit is a good start!

Grey // Glitters

SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURESSAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURESSAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURESSAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURESSAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURESSAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURESSAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURESSAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURESSAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURESSAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURESSAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES

This time of year is always a bit difficult. You can’t be sure if the weather is going to be great or really bad. This makes transitional pieces a must have. Items that look a bit more ‘Fall-like’, but still aren’t to hot. For example the top I’m wearing is a great piece for Fall!
Glitter, lurex and metallics are a big trend for AW 2016 and I couldn’t be happier. I love shinny things and let’s be honest, don’t we all?
Also, I’m obsessed with these stripped pants. They are soooo comfortable! I’m thinking about ordering the polka dot version, just because they are adorable and fit very well. By adding a ballet flat, the outfit doesn’t look to ‘warm’ which is perfect for this weather.
