Classic Stripes

I’m officially addicted to stripes… I have so many stripped t-shirts that I’m actually a bit embarrassing. I can’t get enough of them. I own so many different variations… Pink and white, black and white, green and white, grey and black,… but this is my favorite one. It channels my inner ‘parisienne’, which I loooove. A navy/white stripped t-shirt is a basic, timeless piece and a great investment.
Even better to stock up on stripes right now, since they are very ‘trendy’ for the upcoming season. Especially big bold stripes are everywhere, but I like to stick to my classics.
I think pairing it up with a leather jacket and pointed heels gives it an edgy and modern twist. As for my braids… I was just in the mood for a bit of a quirky hairstyle.

Yes, you saw it correctly. There’s a cactus and a donut on my pants and I’m obsessed with them. Aren’t they so much fun?! I got these pants last fall, but it had already cooled down too much to wear them so I’ve been waiting to get them out for months.
Perfect timing because Patches are EVERYWHERE right now! I love the way they make your outfit look so playful and colorful. I tent to have a bit of a classic style, so I try to mix classics with fun, trendy items like these pants.

Black // White

Two of my favorite colors to wear. I know… technically black and white aren’t colors, that doesn’t stop me from wearing them. All white or all black is so easy to pull of for any season or occasion and timeless. I like pairing white and black white silver for a bit of a contemporary look.
I like to incorporate trends in my outfits, but I still stay true to my personal style.
The off-the-shoulder trend is still going strong. I wanted to try out a new trend too.
The ‘sleepwear trend’. It’s quiet an odd trend and I wanted to be subtle so I wore a white blouse from Zara that I’ve had for a few years, but haven’t worn for a long time. It’s very comfortable and doesn’t look to much like something you’d sleep in.

Baby Blue

It might not be spring just yet, but the few rays of sunshine that have been getting through the  winter sky feel so very nice. I will never stop wearing black, but switching things up and adding a pop of color from time to time is nice too.
This outfit kept me warm, but I’ll definitely be wearing it all through spring, without the stockings of course. Hopefully I’ll be a little more tan by then.

Winter Sunshine

Finally some sunshine! Saying it’s cold is an understatement. It’s freezing… literally! Normally I wear this cozy sweater with just a T-shirt under it, but that’s just not enough to keep me warm. Thankfully the sun came out today. I hate the cold, but feeling the sun on my skin makes me stand it a bit more.

As for my outfit, I just got the skirt on sale at Zara. I really like it and they brought it back for the spring in a few different colors so I’ll probably get another one. It’s very affordable and it’s quite a multiseasonal  piece.
A pair of booties are always an easy pick. These have heals, but flat ones would look just as nice. I have a pair of black, flat booties that I wear all the time so I decided to switch it up with a heel.
I find myself wearing a lot of black these last few months and bright colors have almost completely disappeared, but this sweater makes up for all the black and I like the bold pops of orange and blue.

There is Beauty in Simplicity

A simple dress and a good pair of heels. That’s sometimes all you need to look put together, but still casually chic. This dress was quite inexpensive, but paired with a nice bag and some good accessories, no one will ever know. You could even rock a bold statement lipstick, but I decided to wear my ‘oldie but goodie’ lipliner with a gloss on top. It’s the ‘Catrice Longlasting Lip Pencil’, but don’t ask me the number because unfortunately I have used it so much that I rubbed it off. The color blends perfectly with my natural lip color, so hopefully I’ll find the same color before I run out.
I’m wearing my prada WOC as a clutch. I love little cross-body bags, but sometimes switching this up doesn’t hurt.
Since it was drizzling I wore a black leather jacket over my dress to protect me from the rain and to pull everything together.

Statement coat

As you may have noticed, I’ve been wearing this long camel coat a lot.
A calf-length coat is a great way to stay warm, but still look stylish. Especially with the holidays, it makes for a great cover up over your beautiful Christmas dress or sparkling new year’s suit.
I opted for a more casual day look, paired with a sneaker and a burgundy scarf. The coat is already quite a statement piece and gives a dressed up feeling, while being very comfortable.

Miss Dior Originale

“Miss Dior” was launched in 1947. The iconic sent is still being made today and not a lot has changed since then, except for it’s name. Nowadays it’s called “Miss Dior Originale” and new version, that smells completely different was launched in 2012, is now called “Miss Dior”. The original one is an “old style” perfume, rich in aldehydes, floral notes, oakmoss and resins. It’s completely different from the syrupy fragrances that are so fashionable now.

The iconic perfume makes for a great gift for any lady, especially with Christmas and New Year. If you need a beautiful last minute gift for a loved one or a friend, this perfume is a good option.
A great alternative for a man or woman is a nice, big, comfy sweater.
A graphic, cashmere or cable knit one. They are all perfect for this time of the year.

Comfy sweater

I love wearing skirts and dresses, but nothing beats wearing a nice, big, chunky sweater with a pair of jeans. I like this one because it’s the most comfortable thing I’ve ever worn! It’s what I imagine a cloud feels like.     So soft, so warm, so comfy… Also the details of the lacing make it just a bit more special.
The lacing trend has been getting very popular! There are a lot of cute tops with it and I have a few myself, but I really like it on a sweater.
Pairing a big sweater with a skinny jeans gives you comfort, without totally losing your shape. Just a simple pair of sneakers to finish this comfy outfit of.

Matching my surroundings

It’s a good thing fall is so beautiful… The changing weather makes it impossible to wear a perfect outfit for the temperature. Either you leave your home in an outfit that is too hot or you’re freezing because you didn’t wear enough layers. Also moisturizing is hell! If you don’t wear any your skin is dry, but if you put on your winter moisturizing you wake up with greasy skin.
Thankfully nature makes up for this all. The falling leaves, changing colors, cosy nights by the fireplace,…
Another plus is that you can still get away with wearing some of your summer cloths. These shorts for example are summer shorts, but combined with more winter staples, like a long coat and black boots I can still wear them. And if you hadn’t noticed… I’m really obsessed with my over-the-knee boots. The black is so easy to combine with any outfit and I’ve been wearing them a ton!
