Victorian feels

A little black, a little velvet and some romantic white crouches.
Perfect combination, right?
I’m not really sure if this looks falls under ‘classic’ or ‘edgy’, but I’m okay with that. I like a combination of both.
It’s a bit of a romantic, Victorian look with a hint of goth. A lot of designers have incorporated this into their SS 2016 collections, so if you see a high neck blouse that looks good on you, I definitely recommend getting it. That way you get the most out of your purchase.
I can’t stop wearing my black over-the-knee boots. These one’s have a heel, but they’re still quite comfortable. I also ordered a flat pair of over-the-knee boots that should be arriving by the end of next week. I’m so excited!!

Put a bow on it

I love wearing a classy look, but I always like to add a little trendy or modern twist. A sneaker, minimalist coat or some jeans. That way the classic and the modern balances each other out.
The spencer or little vest I’m wearing, I’ve had for a few years now, but I still love it. It’s a piece I’ll keep forever. Timeless, but fun to wear.
Here I added the pussy-bow blouse. I love everything with a bow and since they are so in at the moment, it’s the perfect excuse to wear even more of them.
Can you still wear an A-line denim skirt during fall? Yessss! This one is my favorite skirt and I’m not ready to put it in the back of my closet just yet. By pairing it with a wool vest and a longer coat, it’s appropriate for the cooler weather.

Winter White in Fall

On a beautiful fall day we decided to go on a walk in the woods. The autumnal colors of the trees and leaves on the ground looked so beautiful in the sun.
I love winter white and this was a perfect occasion to wear it. I’ve worn this outfit quite a few times last year, but especially this year I think I’ll wear it a lot, since it’s really a trend for this season. Paired correctly it can look great during the day and it even makes for a very chic evening look.
Now… let’s talk about those boots! Hunter green wellies with dogs on them? Who could say now to that! I bought them this summer when we went on holiday to England. We were staying in Bath and one day we were just walking around and I saw them when we passed a shop and just had to have them!

Tourist in my own country

After spending a few busy days in Amsterdam and walking all over the city, I was reminded of the beauty of this amazing city. My sister lives there and every time I go see her, I discover new places and there’s never a dull moment. We had a very nice peaceful lunch at Loetje, which is this very cute restaurant in the middle of the city. It was quite cold that day so we were happy to be sitting in a nice warm room with a cup of tea and a great salmon club sandwich, that tasted as amazing as it looked.
My outfit is just an easy to throw on/easy to wear look, perfect for walking around the city. The camel over the knee coat can be seen everywhere and the pussy-bow blouse is very in at the moment. It also adds a kind of classy touch which I always like!

Grey Day

There’s a lot going on in this outfit… The Lurex (which is very on trend this season), the deep V-neck, the hat, the shiny, pointed shoes, the gloves, the bag pom,… I feel like the grey just levels it out so that it’s not to overwhelming. Grey just always looks very chic to me and you can’t really go wrong.
At the moment I’m really obsessed with the little faux-fur bag charms or poms. This Topshop one my sister gave me, because she knows I like them so much.
I have different ones, in multiple colors and from different stores. They have a way of spicing up an outfit and making it more fun.
These grey leather gloves I bought in Rome when I was there in the spring and I starting to wear them now that it’s colder. They are genuine Italian leather and the quality is amazing!

Big Bag kind of day

An oldy but goodie: Le Pliage! I’ve had this bag for over 5 years now and I’ve stuffed it completely full many of times, but it’s still alive! She’s been used as a travelbag, schoolbag, handbag, etc. Basically… The handiest bag out there. It’s classy and timeless and very affordable. I’m the kind of girl that carries the strangest things in her bag. Other than the ‘normal’ things it contains, in my opinion all the essentials I might need. Most of them wouldn’t be essentials for most people, but to me they are!
As for the faux fur vest, I’m in love with it. My sister bought it for me (well I had to pay her back so…) and I was very happy with it. Still am! It’s actually quite warm so that’s nice since I’m always cold. Plus it’s wonderfully soft!
The navy jeans I’m wearing are Primark jeans and I have to say, I’m very surprised by how comfortable they are and how nice they fit! They don’t stretch out to much and you can wash them without the getting dull.

Camel coat

It’s officially cold, very cold! Thankfully I got this long camel coat to protect me. I’m sooo in love with it! I think it’s stylish since camel is everywhere this season and it looks chic too. Perfect right?
The length looks great with a heel, but also goes perfectly with a pair of sneakers. I’ll probably do another post some time soon with flat shoes, because… let’s be honest… Flat shoes are just more comfortable than high heels.
The boot cut jeans I got on sale from Zara a few weeks ago. I couldn’t pass them up! I will wear them all throw the fall and winter (still feeling the seventies!), but they are also great for spring and summer. In my opinion, a good find!
White is always a dangerous color, especially for a clumsy girl like me. Therefor a bag is a safer option than a shirt or a dress.
Overall I’m feeling the fall and I’m excited for it!

Odette’s Opera Outfit

Even though my week in Milan was already quiet exhausting, I got invited to go to the famous La Scala of Milan and couldn’t pas up that amazing opportunity.
We went to the closing night of the famous opera ‘The Elixir of Love’ (l’elisir d’amore) which was sooo beautiful!
Before the opera started, I walked around the city and saw the beauty of it by night. It was only my second time in Milan, but it will definitely not be my last.

Little bit of Blue

Just wanted to show you a little more of the beautiful old buildings of Milan. Just walking around I saw so many amazing places. I really wanted to take a few picture with them!
With this little bit of blue, I wanted to add a little pastel to this black outfit. It was quite a grey day so I think black and blue goes great with that.
Plus I matched my ice cream!

The beautiful city by night

Italian Vogue is my life , it’s just everything!

After a great week in Milan, I wanted to show you some of the places I visited and of course tell you a little about the amazing fashion during Milan Fashion Week.
Between the fashionista’s in the streets and visiting all the fantastic places Milan has to offer, it was an unforgettable experience.
Since I’m in love with Italian brands, I had to bring my Gucci’s, Fendi, Ferragamo’s and Prada back to their homeland.
Seeing new trends and meeting new friends… Overall I had the best time ever!
